The gruff demon Scor maintains a tenuous position in the human settlement that’s guarded by incubi. He intended on killing their leader Figaru with his lover Rowan. It was only when Rowan revealed he would devastate many others in the settlement that Scor switched sides. With Rowan dead Scor is utterly alone.

“Watch your tongue.”

Moors folded his arms and looked downward.

“I know the attraction is mutual, Moors.  You’re the first one in my court I actually can pursue something serious with.  I won’t be dissuaded by your petulance.”

The alchemist fumed through his nostrils.  “May I go, your highness?”

Jereth scowled.  “No.”

He yanked Moors into his arms and kissed him.  There was a flash of fear on Moors’ face before their mouths connected.  He held the back of his head and moved his lips expertly until he felt Moors grow slack.  Jereth broke the kiss to look down at him.  Moors’ blush had returned and his face looked plaintive.

“Now you may go.”

Moors stumbled when he released him.  The king half smiled.

He steadied himself on the table.  “Damn you.”

Moors continued out as fast as his wobbly legs would carry him.
